Sonia Leyva is a seasoned bilingual (Spanish-English) Speech-Language Pathologist. She lives in her hometown of Washington, Iowa, with her husband and two sons. Sonia is a proud child of Mexican immigrants and is a first-generation United States citizen. She was born in El Paso, Texas, but her family moved to Washington, Iowa, when she was three-years old.

Sonia earned a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Northern Iowa. She is a Neurodiversity Affirming Therapist who brings 14 years of pediatric therapy experience to RehabVisions. Sonia’s love for learning, combined with her ability to form meaningful connections with her patients and their families, allows her to create individualized and collaborative plans of care to meet each person’s unique needs.
