Sonia Leyva is a seasoned bilingual (Spanish-English) Speech-Language Pathologist. She lives in her hometown of Washington, Iowa, with her husband and two sons. Sonia is a proud child of Mexican immigrants and is a first-generation United States citizen. She was born in El Paso, Texas, but her family moved to Washington, Iowa when she was young.

Sonia earned a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Northern Iowa. She is a Neurodiversity Affirming Therapist who is dedicated to working with patients of all ages. Her love for learning and her ability to form meaningful connections with individuals and their families allow her to create individualized and collaborative plans of care tailored to each person’s unique needs.
